I've been looking all over for this info. Is it legal to have a commercial brewery at your home? There is one near me that has one at his farm. Any info or a link would be great.

In most states, no. But in some states, if they are not in a residential district, the answer can be "yes".

If someone has a farm, they are already commercial so getting a nano brewery there would probably be ok.

Subpart C—Location and Use of Brewery

§ 25.21 Restrictions on location.

A brewery may not be established or operated in any dwelling house or on board any vessel or boat, or in any building or on any premises where the revenue will be jeopardized or the effective administration of this part will be hindered.

(Sec. 201, Pub. L. 85-859, 72 Stat. 1389, as amended (26 U.S.C. 5402))

A brewery called Grateful Hands brews out of his garage and has a door from said garage to his attached house. I would assume he is fully legal on his permits. So I guess it depends.

Likewise, Rocky Point Artisan Brewers work out of a basement in a residential community. They have licenses and such, sell at local beer distributors. There is another starting up in RP too. NY is aparently friendlier to brewers than to most business. But if not a house, a seperate garage or even shed might meet standards.
