Just Brewed the British Bitter Kit with added grain and sugar.

Hey guys, I just got done brewing this and I added 1LB of English Maris Otter crushed grain and 1/3 cup of corn sugar to it. I also used the Windsor ale yeast. I am thought buy adding the extra grain I might get a bit more body to it. What do you guys think?

Update, I had my first beer last night from this batch and it was pretty darn good! This may seem crazy but it reminded a little like Budweiser, different but similar in some way. LOL

I think adding the extra 1Lb of crushed grain did help by adding some mouth feel and depth, less watery tasting if you will. I think on all my next extract brews I will do this now.
