I had a 77 with a 390 4 speed years ago.
That was a great truck.

I have an 02 Tundra V8 with the half doors and an 8ft bed, city16-18, highway 23-28. Nothing special added but have only had to do regular maintenance and power window motor (my niece jammed something and the switch kept the window motor running.

I had an '08 2500 Dodge 4x4 with the Cummins Diesel. I would never suggest anyone get a diesel after that truck. 14 mpg on the highway, 10 to 12 in town. check engine light came on every 4,000 miles like a clock. Turbo was rebuilt 4 times in 70,000 miles, Transmission had to be rebuilt at 62,000 Power Steering pump shot at 36,000 miles.... Yeah. Never again. $50,000 pile of junk if you ask me. I traded it for a sedan at 78,000 miles after the turbo went in for it's last rebuild. Suspension was the only solid item on that truck.

One thing though about it, the service guys knew me and the truck by name. And by the 3rd turbo rebuild they had the rebuilds down to a matter of hours. I'm still bitter over that truck. Looked good though.

Had a '90 Chevy k1500 4x4 prior. 300,000 miles on it when things finally decided to quit. Too bad the brakes weren't ever better.
