I bought an all grain kit from Northern awhile back. Everything went well for the most part, hit my temps and everything. My problem is my pale ale has a Belgium yeast taste and I used a saf-5...... A little late to fix it now, just want some feedback on what I might have done wrong (I don't care for that Belgium taste).

I have read that US-05 gives a somewhat Belgian flavor profile as you allow the fermentation temperature to rise into the mid-70s degF.

That could've been what happened, as I brewed it in February. In Colorado in a basement it's a bit tough to hold accurate temps... I first thought it was just a bad batch bit the flavor is consistent with every one I have drank.
