I am going to attempt this on my fermentation chamber.

Me and a friend did this with a 50 dollar 10-14 cf freezer. Not sure of the size couldn't find one with the dimensions online. One good thing is that it had a light in the lid so we disconnected the light and used those wires for the wiring of the thermostat. The down side is that with the lovely weather here and my chamber being in the garage is that I need heating and cooling. So we mounted an outlet box to the lid and wired both. It is running like a champ. Thanks for the diagram and idea.
