Moving, anyone used PODS?

Later this year I will be moving almost 500 miles. How much can I expect a POD to cost? Logistically it makes more sense than getting a moving truck to do it due to my timeline.

I have to call for a quote but do not want to deal with that yet and was curious on experiences people have had with them.

I can't help you on the cost, as I did it back in 2007, and even if I remembered, I'm sure pricing has changed.

But FWIW, it was a relatively painless experience, as far as moving can be, anyway...

They have an online quote system that will price you out. We looked into earlier this year when we moved and the pricing was not too bad but we ended up getting movers to move us across town, it was about the same price and I did not have to move the heavy furniture.
