Could you please be more specific, why do you reckon I need to dump it? I'm hearing a lot of conflicting opinions, some people say it's just a part of fermentation process, and no need to throw it unless it smells/tastes bad. Mine smells and tastes just fine, I tried it! Thanks
 
Mold is not something to mess with. Don’t get confused with a pellicle, which is an oxygen barrier that some wild yeasts will develop, and is a sure sign of infection.
That green dot in the white is definitely mold. Mold can create toxins and in liquids (or soft cheese) these can be throughout the medium. It’s not as true for hard cheeses.
