Hey HBT, here's an up to date sketch of everything. I'm waiting for the bulkhead and 2 quick connects to arrive in the mail today. I'll get some pics up as soon as it's all finished. Thanks for all of the help/suggestions :D.

*My Pfister kitchen faucet has an odd thread, it's 3/4" -27 thread per inch male, this most likely will not be what you need, 55/64 is far more common.

<Hey HBT, I'll be brewing in my garage which is not heated and my kitchen sink is far too small to wash 15gal kettles. I need a solution that allows me to wash large items and it has to be able to be disconnected from a water source. I've come up with a plan for a mobile sink that will hook up to a garden hose and allow me to wheel it around and take it outside. This is still in the planning phase as of now but I'll list the parts that I'm looking at using as well as a sketch. The drain garden hose will be dedicated to drain only, I have an old hose that I'll lop the end off to makes sure there aren't any mixups. I know that there are a lot of quick connects in there but it's to make life easy/make sure that all water is drained effectively after use.

So, anyone build something like this? If so any input/links to build threads would be awesome :D.

<Hey HBT, thanks for all the responses everyone. At this point I've done a fair amount of modifying of the original plan but I think it's going to work out. I moved the original text of the post to the bottom. I have bought everything on the list and at this point I'm just waiting for the sink to arrive (Wed). I'll update this more when the sink arrives. Thanks again for the thoughts/ideas :D.>

A garden hose for the drain will take forever to drain the sink. You would be better off with a larger hose.

Have you considered installing the sink where you want and then winterizing when needed.

Hi. If the only water source is the garden hose, why double your costs putting in two lines to the sink faucets? Unless you're planning on adding hot water, it seems like a waste to install a hot water faucet & plumbing. One side for cold water should be plenty. BTW, if you want hot water, use the water discharge from your IC/CFC, which should be plenty hot. You can put that right into your sink to use to clean (as long as you buy a plug.) Ed

Responding to multiple posts on mobile is not fun, lol. Thanks for the responses everyone :)

I had thought about that, I'm not sure if I'll be using it all the time, the plan is to have a bucket under the drain and use that as well, especially in the winter so I'm not creating an ice skating rink outside. I hadn't considered the drain time. I'll have to see what other options are available, thanks.

I wish, it's a rental, nothing permanent, everything has to be modular.

I didn't put this in the sketch but it's my plan to use my pump to push captured chiller hot water from a bucket to the hot side of the sink. I got a foot switch to turn the pump on and off without having to touch anything. That's why the wye has valves. Thanks :)

Why not just use the hose and a large rubbermaid tub? What does this sink actually accomplish?
The biggest reason is probably so I don't have to bend over the entire scrub time honestly, having a faucet there is another bonus. The other big reason is that I don't have a utility sink so this will serve other purposes as well beyond brewing.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you end up with. I've read several times from several brewers that a good sink is their favorite piece of equipment in the brewery.

I've been trying to work out a garage sink solution my self. Proper drainage has been my hang up. Thanks for that link to that sink btw, I had been keeping an eye out for craigslists sinks and nothing there was ever even as cheap as the sink you listed.

(edit)

I considered something like this to keep my drain lines from clogging https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JKU9VEC/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

You could also rig the whole thing up to recirculate cleaning solutions for carboy/keg washing. Here is a commercial example [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bl6pxAV32t4[/ame]
