Does anyone have this program, who wouldn't mind sending it to me? i recently had to format my pc and forgot to back that up. It's impossible to find from what i know, and the link on here doesn't work. I can't believe how much i really loved the simplicity of that program!

PM me, any help would be much appreciated.

Have you tried running the application in WinXP Compatibility mode?

Browse to the install directory, right click on the launch file (usually EXE), then select "Properties". Once in Properties, click the "Compatibility" tab, hit the checkbox for "Run in" and select one of the compatibility OS's, start with WINXP sp3 first and work down.

Hopefully that gets you up and running.

This was the fix in case anybody else has this problem
To check DEP on Win7 do the following:

open an Explorer window
select System properties from below the address field
select Advanced system settings from the list at the top left
click Settings of the Performance section
select the Data Execution Prevention tab
make sure to have Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only selected

Don't know about the installation executable. There could be some issues, that program is OLD.

I used the ZIPPED version, which is portable.
After extracting that ZIP file to a folder and running "MashWater.exe" from that folder, it runs fine on my Win7 SP1. No problems. Calcs all work.

I do have the following 3 dlls in both Sys\System32 and Sys\WOW64:
mfc71.dll
msvcp71.dll
msvcr71.dll

Although if they were needed and missing you'd get a message about that, not an error.

OK, I see you answered your own question. DEP and UAC at their best.

Great find!
Or turn on for ALL and whitelist those few programs you DO want to be able to run. That is if you want to succumb to M$ ideas of a "safe system."
