Got hammered last night on my 1st batch of homebrew. It was a cider and i let it get to 16%. I got drunk. I mean slobbering, stumbling, forget wtf i did drunk.:drunk: And i've gotten used to having the worst hangover from those occasions. But when i woke up this morning I was amazed. I just keep thinking wtf. I have no hangover.

Is it becuase i'm making a higher quality brew than im used to buying from the store?

What gives?

Pretty sure it's the lack of over-processing with chemicals and sugars, end result is little to no fusel alcohols.

Hmmm....

I don't know.
Repeat the experiment, and track the variables.

Might take you a while. I hope you don't operate machinery.

Serious, it could be:
No sugar or preservatives in your brew
You drank a lot of water you don't remember
You had just the right amount and kind of food in your stomach
You slept through your hangover
You have achieved transendance

I vote for you have achieved transcendence, mainly because it sounds awesome.

Wow! If you figure it out please post it. I drank four 22 oz bottles of my 14% bourbon cider and couldn't talk. And the hangover was a killer... Wish I knew what causes some to be worse than others.

I got very drunk yesterday with my hopped brownsugar apple wine and today i only had a mild headache that was gone after a glass of kombucha.
I dont get very bad hangovers with my brews :)

You ate Tylenol thinking they were jelly beans.

You woke up and put Alka-Seltzer in your first glass of wine.

+1 You have achieved transcendence

Seriously though it's probable the lack of chemicals in homebrew that cause hangovers to be much less severe. Regardless I still try to drink in moderation...a 3 day hangover will teach you that. Or at least it taught me that...:drunk:

I can be ok if I have too many, if I drink a little water during the drinking session, eat, and manage to swallow a Tylenol prior to crashing. For me this usually leaves me feeling ok.

If I sleep too hot or freeze during the night tend to feel more slightly worse. Being too hot is the worst for me.
