Hey all!

Got into this obsession a few years ago and want to thank everyone just for your breadth of knowledge and experience.

Primary have brewed IPA’s/DIPA’s at this point minus an Irish Red and Gose attempt.

Still experimenting with my process, likes and dislikes and just still getting the feel for things. So last weekend I brewed a DIPA (more like a Triple IPA, biggest beer to date). OG1.092. Fermentation is slowing if not near complete currently at 1.013 (per Tilt, about 85% attenuation with US-05). I have mostly used 1056 up to this point but was being lazy with this brew and didn’t want to bother with a starter. Thought it was semi-stalling around 1.022, roused and took a sample while I was at it to see how off the Tilt was. About 12 oz of hops on boil and hop stand/flame out, 2oz currently dry hopping and another 2-3oz will be added tonight or tomorrow morning, might pick up another couple oz’s for kicks and giggles).

Things seemed and tasted fine aside from collecting too much hop particulate in the sample and still being very sweet. I know US-05 isn’t highly flocculating. But now that things are winding down, I’ve noticed this hoppy looking film on top. Wasn’t sure if these are from the hops and oils or if these are pellicles masked with green hop particulate. Thanks everyone!
