Or it might just be the recipe. Brewed up Yooper's Dead Guy Clone two weeks ago and just pulled a sample. It's not done fermenting judging by the gravity reading, but this is actually the first hydrometer sample I actually wanted to finish the whole thing. So freakin' delicious! Usually I just take a sip and say yep, it's gonna be beer. But this is awesome.

What are some signs you guys have had that your brewing skill is improving?
 
I just had this exact thing happen to me! I was taking a reading of my hanks hefe and I let my roommate and girlfriend try it... both were like... "damn that is good!!"
 
For me it was about nailing my process: The combo of not having a list of things to fix that I screwed up on the last batch and having a smooth brew day.
