Accounting & Legal Issues for Breweries

I'm an accountant in the state of Georgia and know some people that are looking into starting a brewery. Government websites are atrocious, and I'm not confident I will get all the information I need by calling the local offices, although I do know I will get at least some useful information that way.

I'm looking for some helpful industry resources that people have had experience with. I've done a search, and there are a number of books and publications on the subject, but I'd like to hear what people have actually found useful before starting on a wild goose chase.

I'd especially love to hear from anyone that has, or is in the process of starting a brewery, as that would be most helpful.

I would start by asking questions at small, local breweries. They have already done it and are usually pretty helpful.
