I received two free fuggle plants. Are fuggle a good for brown ales? American and British?

Fuggle is a classic English hop that is great in lots of ales. Very similar to Willamette when looking for recipe ideas.

Good growing!

Fuggles are an excellent and well respected hop with a long history. If you really want to experience them without other hops, try Old Peculiar. It is a lower gravity English Old Ale made with only Fuggles. I use it in Old Ale, Stouts and Scottish Ale.

It pairs nicely with East Kent Golding and Northern Brewer.

This past winter I did an all-Fuggles barleywine, all-Fuggles ESB and an all-Fuggles brown ale.
