I'm helplessly in love with this IPA from Buelton, CA... Has anyone been able to come close to cloning Figueroa Mountain's "Hoppy Poppy IPA"?

Here is my mini-mash version...it will get you pretty close:

4.5 lb 2-row (I believe they use Great Western)
.5 lb Carapils
1 lb C-20/C-40
.5 lb extra light DME (60 minutes)
5 lb extra light LME (at flameout)

.5 oz California poppy seeds at 15 min

1 oz Chinook @ 60
1 oz Columbus @ 60
1 oz Simcoe @ 15
.5 oz Simcoe @ 2
.5 oz Cascade @ 2
.5 oz Centennial @ 2
.5 oz Simcoe dry hop for 7 days
.5 oz Cascade dry hop for 7 days
.5 oz Centennial dry hop for 7 days

WLP-001

OG 1.066 FG 1.015 IBU 60

Let me know how it works for you...probably my favorite craft beer.

How did this one turn out?

My brother was drinking in the USA and loved it! Unfortunately we can't find it here in Australia, so I would love to brew one for him.

Has anyone had success with this, or can you recommend and alterations to the recipe?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, Xander1, I make this one a lot...it is delicious and definitely in the ballpark, particularly when kegged (but you probably knew that!) Your brother will be very appreciative. Good luck!
