Greetings All,

I put a batch of belgian blonde in three weeks ago. I planned on bottling tomorrow, but I accidentally didn't get enough grolsch bottles (I don't want to cap). I called my homebrew store today and they said that they didn't have any, but they'd make a shipment in two weeks... and that it would be here in a month. I'm looking through the internet to find some bottles- I found some nice 2 liter growlers I like, but they won't be here for a week.

The question is: Can I let it go too long in primary? Should I transfer carboys?

Thanks!

You're fine leaving it in the primary. Have you researched bottling in grolsch bottles and growlers? From what I've heard, it's not advisable, as they don't seal as well as bottles do. You might want to look into this.

It'll be fine.

The extra 2 weeks won't hurt at all, some people routinely leave their beer in primary that long. Be careful of growlers, most of them are not meant to be conditioning vessels. They sell 1L Grolsch types which work quite well.:fro:
