Yeah, the positioning/orientation of the valve makes that assembly pretty awkward to fit to the typical keggle opening.
How about a (tbd) length of flat SS, say a couple inches wide and around 18-20 gauge, bent 90° with the horizontal leg clamped to the edge of the keggle opening and the vertical leg extending upward so the sparge arm can straddle it.
The horizontal leg just needs to be long enough to get a clamp on it and the kettle rim, while the vertical leg would need to be tall enough to provide clearance for the valve inlet.
If you attach a 1/2" SS street elbow to that valve, the vertical leg (and thus the elevation about the mash) could be shortened a couple/few inches.
If that were to work satisfactorily you could toss the clamp and screw it right to the kettle rim...
