Hop Spider shortcut?

Has anyone tried making a hop spider out of something like this and some SS Mesh or Aluminum Screen mesh?

Thoughts? OR other suggestions for cheap and easy hop spider?

I just used a big paint strainer bag and binder clips to clip to the side of my kettle. Easiest option out there IMO

My method also. Bag $2 each. They last a very long time - if you remember to clean them. The clamp I use, I already had.

muslin bag & binder clips, but I also have an insinkerator to hold the bag open for easy hop additions

clips are 88¢ a dozen at wally world, insinkerator was $15 or 16 at lowes/hd
