So a while back I purchased an old stir plate on ebay. The metal showed serious corruption and, as much as I love rusty metal and possible radiation in my home brew... I decided to give the stir plate a face lift. Fortunately the original design made it very easy to give the stir plate a brand new wooden shell. So below is the process and final results. I hope this inspires someone else to experiment or just have some crazy fun with home brewing equipment.
