I'm asking for help with a simple fromula to get a finale reading on me red ale. The S.G was 1.050. My finale is 1.020. Can't remember fromula. Help?

Well there is this generic calculator that may get you in the ballpark:
http://www.brewersfriend.com/abv-calculator/

or find a site that has a full recipe calculator where you enter your recipe and the you're OG and FG and it calculates it for you or brewing software like Beertools, Beersmith or Promash to name a few. And since I'm a MAC user I'll throw in Homebrew Formulator which is what I use.

Also check out this site from some formulas on figuring out gravities:

Not a extract. I may have pitched my yeast too soon. I did this vatch before reading about rehydrating yeast. That may have caused my low Abv. I'll let it ferment another week. This batch I'm brewing now, I'm more attuned too. A stout. I hope.

That's only 60% attenuation, are you sure it's done? Why not leave it alone for a week and check again?

Mashing around 150F should've given a very fermentable wort. It should get down around 1.010-1.012 FG. Anyway the Cooper's formula is (OG-FG) /7.46 + .5 = ABV%. The + .5 is allowing for the priming solution's addition while fermenting in the bottles to produce carbonation.
