Missing that and don't know what you mean...durh..

You know, click and drag your mouse pointer across a word so that it is highlighted. Just like when you copy something. Only instead of copying it, you insert a hyperlink by clicking on the earth thingy.

So like for Youtube vidoes, type "Youtube," highlight it, and then insert the copied youtube link.

Hubby says he will kill me tonight, so if I die tonight it was him, Bill Corbett. William Homer Corbett from Wakulla County, north Florida. Okay, have a great night everyone.

I have weapons ready to defend myself, so unless I fall asleep first, I feel confident I will live through the night, this isn't a joke.

I always sleep with my shotgun under my pillow. It doesn't seem to be any good for my neck but I'm still alive. See you tomorrow Bobbi.

I don't get worked up at least on the outside. Not even a biopsy yet so I am trying to stay positive. I think it is early and hope treatment will cure it. Dad is in good spirits now. I aim to keep him that way. I appreciate your kind words:mug:

I've known lots of people who have kicked cancer. Keep your hopes up.

You guys had video recording capability in 1985?

My friend's dad got the giant camcorder. They paid thousands for it. We had a lot of fun with that thing.

Yeah, Bobbi! You're not breaking any rules as far as I'm concerned!

Religion's fine, just be careful not to turn it into a debate.

Passedpawn, you still up? Right now sure would be a great time for another one of your videos.. You know dude. I think we are the same age. Back in the 80 guys like you and Stauff (even though a few years later) were always getting the chicks! Dang! :D

I did alright back then. I met my wife and monogamy about that time though.

I made the video box show up a few times...can't do it anymore. Somebody give me a tutorial please.

If the normal link to the video doesn't embed, try clicking Share under the video, then copy the link that shows up, then paste it into your post. I just fixed your Duran Duran video post that way.

That's scary. You need to get your situation under control if that's true. Better have a candid talk with your husband, then with the local sheriff if you don't like his answers.

for anyone who may be unfamiliar with wakulla county or the surrounding area these license plates are so prevalent it is as if they give them out at the bmv with a registration.

I'm alive! And had a talk with hubby today. Do not confront me in an angry manner when I am already upset, that's the time to hug me, hold me, tell me everything will be okay. He says I kicked him hard last night, that was to get him off me. He's okay, I'm okay....

I'm just going to go on record as saying I dislike what I have been hearing very much. Every angle I have looked at it from so far still leads me to think it warrants police involvement.

I don't know Creamy. Chemo brain is a weird thing to have to deal with. I would say a Dr would be the way to go and since they deal with it all the time perhaps they could help with a medicine.

Tough call for sure though. I am thinking calling the cops on a loved one would be hard when you are supposed to be taking care of them. Some folks get forgetful on chemo and others get angry. Can you imagine what it must feel like to be a man and not able to help support your wife and have to depend on her. Couple that with the chemo and I can see getting angry. Not a excuse to get physical for sure but I can understand it.

It is truly hard to explain chemo brain until you have had to deal with it.

Yes, he likes to try to strangle me. You know, cut off my wind pipe, make it so I can't breath. Police were involved the one time, called my best friend, she came right over and called police. I got away that time too, after he slammed my hand in the door as I was escaping his grip, locked myself in my craft room. They did not arrest him, said they did have the facilities to care for him. I was sent in an ambulance to the hospital, to fix my broken fingers. Then to a shelter type thing for about a week. Then left and went back home. Who else is going to care for this sick and angry man? Not his mother, that would not be safe for her. A nurse, no, not safe for her either. I am very strong for my size and it has to be me. I can protect myself and I will.

Maybe Im being a bit knee-jerk, but I will still reiterate that if you are forced to kick your partner to get them off of you, something has gone awry. Please, Bobbi, just be careful... one of those stories that sets off the bells and gets my hackles up.

Thats all I need to hear. I'm told prisons have adequate cancer wards.

I dont know. I am not there so I cannot judge but Bobbi is there and dealing with it. If she says she can handle it then I have to respect her judgment.

Hugs for you Bobbi and stay safe.

Thanks, yes, I can handle this.

I just took a class last week where we learned how to escape strangles. If it's both hands around your neck, twist your whole body and neck one quarter turn. You'll then be facing an arm. Bend your knees real quick to add body weight, and at the same time you put both your hands in between the strangler's arms, using your hands to push his outer arm away. Except we have to say "guide" the arm, because it would be wrong to "push" a retarded person's arm away from our necks.

"A quarter turn breaks the hold."

We also learned how to get out of a choke hold, if you want to hear that.

Hey, I want to hear even if nobody else does.

The only way I know how to get out of a strangle hold is to twist like you described so you are facing an arm. Then push on the other persons throat where it meets the collar bone with rigid fingers. I'm not sure, but I think you could collapse somebodies throat that way accidentally...

You try to jam your fingers between the attacker's arm and your neck, then do the quarter turn toward their elbow as you drop your weight. You then move your outside arm to the tricep area of the attacker and push as you pull your head free. Then immediately/ simultaneously take a side step away. This was the trickiest move, as you have to position your inside foot behind the other person's foot before trying to free your head. It's hard to feel your way behind theirs. If you don't move your foot, you'll get tangled and fall.

We practiced these at low speed, and the trainers would have us stop in place to correct us. They were really awesome. They work with very violent people, and developed the curriculum, which went through much scrutiny, I'm sure. One of the trainers pretty much gets manhandled and messed up by 12-15 people for three days.

Hmm, reminds me of a judo maneuver. Though in that one the other party tends to land on their back with the crap knocked out of them.

Swift kick in the chest/stomach, arm up, brought down around their arms and a twirl. Boom. you are loose.

We really have to be very careful about not causing injury to the other person.
That was the most interesting training I've ever attended in my 29 years at work :)
We also learned how to block hits, escort uncooperative people, and safely restrain someone.

And, at this point, I'm not that worried about hurting the other person. Worried a little, but not terribly worried.

This thread is getting a little creepy and just weird.

Bobbi, your situation doesn't sound healthy at all.

I don't even know what else to say aside from please be careful, and I wish the best for you....

Herro, i drank some kegged "cider" ... hrmmm :p. I'm new here, and haven't read much beyond the first and last pages, but, Bobbi, GTFO of that relationship, I'm sure I will go through previous pages to learn more, but seriously... Anyways, I have to get up early and do a 3hr ride (road bike)... must get back in shape. First, one moar glass :)

Cider is good. You might want to keep a set of lines just for it though. The flavor tends to stay in the plastic.
