I like to transfer early into my serving keg and use a spunding valve to carbonate somewhat naturally. You know, get some sweet biotransform at high krausen with DDH... or I'm just lazy and like the idea of reducing the risks of an oxidized transfer. Either way, I need a simple way to avoid the trub. My beers ferment 2-4 days in the lidded boil kettle (after whirlpool and chilling) before transferring directly into my final serving keg from the boil kettle/primary, skipping the carboy.

I have 3/16" ID soft silicone tube attached with stainless wire to a stainless float. Not my idea but it works so well I figured I should share.
