I'm using 450ml Grolsch bottles and they're working well for my needs. I'd like to start using a few larger swing-tops, including 1L and 1.5L bottles, buy I'm unsure how this will affect carbonation.
I carbonate my entire 23L batch (5 imp gal, 6 US) with 1 cup corn sugar instead of in-bottle carbonation drops, and this works great for the 450 size.
Can anyone advise if if the larger bottles require more sugar to ensure sufficient carbonation? It makes sense that since I'm priming the entire batch before bottling, then it doesn't matter how big the bottles are... But I'd hate to make a mistake on this and end up with flat beer in my 1 and 1.5L bottles. I'm a newbie to this and appreciate input from those with experience.
