Fan size for stirplate?

Hey guys, I was thinking of building a back-up stirplate and I don't know what size fan to use. The big fan is super high speed at 12dc, would it over heat in a box, should I drill a bunch of holes on top and bottom, would it have vibration problems; or should I use the smaller fan?

Smaller fan(80cm I think is the sze). Make sure to wire something to control the speed.

if your worried about over heating, just cut vent holes. should be just fine.
