Extract and concentrate

Trying my first root beer, picked up some Root Beer Concentrate.
But I'm seeing Extract in alot of posts and wondering what i have to do to adjust it.
Add water to it to dilute it and if so how much?
I guess what needs to be different when creating the RB?

You'll want to look at the brand and the instructions that come with it, because it depends. For the small bottles of concentrate, it's something like the bottle of concentrate, several pounds of sugar and 4-5 gallons of water. Each brand is different. Which one did you buy?

McCormick.
It tells you how to make a simple drink but it doesn't have yeast in it or talk about adding it to the mix.
I was going to hit there sit and see if they had a little more info about it.
What about oils?
Noticed flavoring oils for like candy and such.
If that something that can be used?
