I picked up some random hops off Craigslist for a pretty good price. I am trying to use up some of what I have. I have looked at the guides online for subbing hops, but a lot of them are not direct subs. Here is what I have, Belma nelson sauvion Simcoe falconers flight and golding. There might be a few others, but I will check tonight after work and update the thread if there are.

Currently I have a kolsch going and last month I made this American wheat https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f70/am...e-best-show-2011-hbt-bjcp-competition-238940/ and it was awesome.

I have also had my eye on this recipe https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f66/kona-fire-rock-pale-ale-ag-clone-52220/

Which, or will any of the hops I already have work in those brews?

Thanks
Alex

They are all pretty unique hops and kind of go in a different direction than Cascade & Centennial that are in the firerock recipe....why not just use them and see? I would seriously use any/all of those in an APA. Keep the IBU's to around 30-35.

Yeah the main reason for posting those two recipes were because I already have all the ingredients needed besides the hops. I am in the middle of completely we doing my backyard right now so I have been trying to plan my brews to use what I have and re use yeast.

I was leaning towards the Belma in the wheat brew. The Belma hops are hole leaf which I have never used, so using them kills two birds with one stone.
