Hi guys!

This is my first attempt at home brewing and i was wondering about the current state of how my brew is fermenting.
Currently a week into fermenting and im getting a hydrometer reading of 1.04 and its said that it needs to be 1.01 for bottling.
Im just worried that ill over ferment it or somehow ruin it. Should i leave it till it reaches 1.01?

p.s

this is the recipe i used

about a carrier bag of elderflower
10 lemons squeezed and zested
2kg of sugar
and tablespoon of yeast
18 litres of water
4 tablespoons of white wine vinegar
