I used 2x8s around the top, screwed them together and then liquid nailed them down, set the lid on top and added the weights for the night.

The wood on the sides are fence pickets, I had some galvanized sheet metal left over from another project. I screwed the top of the galvanized metal into the 2x8 and then put the fence pickets on, and screwed them into the 2x8s. Around the bottom I screwed horizontal fence pickets into the vertical ones, and then at the corners screwed them into each other to create a ring on the bottom, it holds everything nice and snug against the bottom of the freezer

I set the lid on top of the freezer and then screwed the hinges back into the 2x8, works perfect. I then took it outside and sprayed clear "flex seal" on the inside of the 2x8 to prevent them from molding, it added a nice plastic coating to them. After that was dry I went around all of the seams with silicon caulking.

On the lid I used fence pickets ripped down to size and screwed them into the side of the lid using self tapping screws, the pickets on the top of the lid are mostly just sitting in there snug, the front and back are attached to the perimeter pickets using screws.

I used a 1" hole saw to drill 3 holes in the front for the taps. 2 are hooked up right now, will look into getting a 3rd later on.

I bought one of those $20 aquarium thermostats off of ebay and installed it in a liquid tight work box, screwed that to the back of the 2x8 and plugged the freezer into it. Set at 40 it keeps it perfectly at 38 to 41.

Right now I have some store bought kegs hooked up to it, will be buying some soda kegs and putting my home brew in it later on.

Love it, well done! Now go brew some sh*t of your own and get it kegged :D

I actually have a porter in a carboy that is ready to be bottled/kegged. I mainly did all of this for my wife's 30th birthday party, and I decided to convert the freezer 2 days before the party so I had no time to keg the brew. The Franconia is floated so that'll come out and the porter go in, once she finishes off her Revolver Blood and Honey I'll put a Rye I'm about to brew in there.
