Kind of winged this as a 1gal experiment,

3lbs 'burnt' meadowfoam honey
1lb CaraAroma
1 vanilla bean
1gal water
D47yeast

Primary fermentation is over and done with, I planned on adding 1 vanilla bean to secondary and I came across a bag of 4oz cocoa nibs from a friend. I'd debated using this in the bochet as I'd been curious about using nibs, figured this might work well together.

Having never used cocoa nibs before I don't know exactly how much to use per gallon without being overpowering. I thought 1/2oz might be ok, 2 might be pushing it but I wanted to make sure before I transfer so figured I'd ask y'all. Any and all help is appreciated. thanks!

I think 2-3 oz is fine. You'll find they help a lot more in the aroma department rather than flavor. I used 1 Lb (16oz) of cacao nibs in a 5 gallon chocolate bock and they boosted the aroma big time, flavor change was a pretty unnoticeable difference.
