I have a GE 5 cu ft keezer build. The interior dimensions look to be anywhere from 1/4" to 1 3/4" (depending on which site I'm looking at that lists 1/4bbl keg dimensions) too small to hold either a 1/4bbl or 1/2bbl keg (some sites say a 1/4bbl keg has a 15 1/2" diameter, others say 17"--no clue what's accurate.
Annoying/frustrating.
Anyway this may be a stupid question--but can the interior walls of a freezer be lightly hammered to allow for the additional 1" or whatever of clearance I need? Pardon my ignorance but I don't really know what's behind the silver stuff on the freezer interior that could be damaged, etc.
The other option would be to try to run the 1/4bbl keg on its side but I guess that won't work either from reading...
