how bad is it to get any amount of water in your beer after primary fermentation and racking for settling or aging.What would happen to beer.
 
How much water are you talking about?

Sterile water would simply water down the beer, if there were bugs in it it could infect it...

If it was your typical tap water and not a large amount I wouldn't worry too much about it...

I think this only worked for Jesus....

You're probably going to have watered down beer.... And a high risk for infection.
 
Depending on what kind of water, it may also have quite a bit of dissolved O2 in the water that could slightly oxidize the beer.

What reason would there be to add water post-fermentation?
