I have 6 taps all set up with 1/4 inch lines....I am running about 12 feet on each keg and everything seems fine to me. I keep reading how I need to go to the 3/16th lines... however all of my fittings are 1/4 inch...will I have to switch out everything or just the lines? I think it is about time to install new tubing so thats why I am asking.

Are you having any issues with your current setup? If not, why worry - just replace the lines. If you are you might make the switch but I don't know anything about the fittings so someone else will have to supply that answer.

3/16 will stretch over 1/4" barbs, no problem. Just dip the end of the 3/16" line in boiling water to soften it first.

I am having no issues other than the six, ten foot coils of tubing crammed into the kegerator.
