I picked this up on Ebay for like 10 bucks. I should get some good reaction in Boston tomorrow. Btw, they run small, the xl is a bit snug, if you decide to get one.

NICE!!! You should swing over this weekend... We're having an 80% build party. :ban:

I don't have my lowers yet! I have a lpk though, lol. I have everything, some on order, to build my AR. The complete upper is going to be about 3 months.....

We're processing the raw lowers, not waiting for the anodized. Since we can get them hit with Cerakote for <$10 each (the amount refunded if we go raw instead of anodized) it makes enough sense to get the raw. I'm getting set up to anodize at home too. I hope to be ready to do that come next weekend.

My friends .22 IJ Target Model 1900. Don't know too much about it, has an octagon barrel. Pretty old and cool revolver.

What don't you make? Haha I'm jealous with the amount of craftsmanship you can do.

Not much. IF I can manage to get the funding for a CNC mill, the list of what I can't make will be reduced even more. Having a good source for practice metal also helps. I'll be making a micro-cannon for another HBT member this week.

It's a work-in-progress, but at least it's begun... I'll post more pics as it gets closer to being completed... Need some more time on the lathe to complete it.
BTW, this is for a forum member... :D

It's for .177 cal, so the bore is .180". Total length should be about 3". Like I said, a micro-cannon... Started off as a 5/8" OD piece of stainless steel. :ban:

Seriously, a micro cannon!? it looks pretty sweet!

I bought some more pmags and a moe carbine moe handguard from Midway. I have a complete upper from Windham coming in hopefully within 2 months (90-120 days lead time). My 2 lowers will hopefully be in by the end of the month June/ early July, coming with 2 free poly lowers (since code red has taken forever shipping these). I already have the LPK, 6 pos. stock, and rear flip up sight.

I have 12 30 round .223/5.56 NATO mags and 4 20 round pre-ban mags now. I'm looking at building up a 300 Blackout pistol as soon as possible. Also have chunk of aluminum that I can make an AR10 lower out of (just need access to a CNC mill).

I'm selling a pair of polymer AR15 lowers right now. One had the LPK already installed.

You should swing over some time soon.

Going to Acme Armament shortly to get some supplies... Planning on making a .45 cal cannon soon too.

I'll def need help with the lpk install, very busy next few weeks. Hopefully get my lowers in a month.

Working on making a mist lubricant/cooling system for the lathe today. I had almost all the parts needed already. Just had to get one fitting for the air line. Going to make the nozzle fitting on the lathe to use with it. Then I'll test it out with some water to make sure it works well, before using it with the soluble oil solution. I might even install the fitting so that I can let the lathe bed drain into something else. That should keep things more under control.

Here's one of my Rugers, it's a Super Redhawk Alaskan .44 mag. I only carry it on special occasions.

I have an SR1911 and SR9 that I carry sometimes in cooler weather, but my EDC is a Taurus PT745 that I have carried all day everyday for 5 years now, and have run close to 4000 rounds through, and the thing has never failed me. Fortunately, I live in a state that is quite 2nd amendment friendly, and also have a great employer who allows me to carry while at work.

I just hate having to drive by the local liquor store on my way to Kentucky when I run out of beer on Sunday. I know, I know, poor planning.

I just snagged an Umbrella Corp grip in FDE! I'm desperately waiting for their uppers to come back in stock. Hopefully I'll be awake and ready to purchase because they'll be available for 20 minutes. :(

Update on the micro-cannon...

Trunnions installed.

Still have a little bit to do on the micro-cannon before I'll say it's 100% finished.

Tragically I lost all my guns in a boating accident. I had them all loaded up to take them to get them all registered and a rogue wave capsized the boat. :)

Me too! Funny how that happens, must be the annual "Take all your guns boating event".

Wow
Same thing happened to me. Lost them all except for the items registered with the ATF. Seems to be a rash of firearms boating accidents in the last few years.

What, no quad-rail on it?? :D

No quad rail. I'm putting on a magpul moe hand guard, because I think it looks better. But that's it. It will only need a red dot or scope and I'll be done with it. No crazy tacticool stuff yet!

+1 to MOE stuff. Way under-rated IMO.

I had fit issues with the MagPul hand guard on my DPMS carbine/rifle. I had to return it and get a quad rail hand guard (for about half the price). So I went from plastic with poor fit, to all aluminum with great fit.

I would seriously research the hand guard to make sure it will fit 100% correctly on your upper.

BTW, having the AFG2 (thinking about switching the the AFG actually) on the hand guard helps. With the quad rail, you also have more options for what you put on the rifle. I'm also NOT a fan of the large front sights, especially on a flat top. I'm looking to get free floating hand guards on all my future uppers. That includes the AR15 based pistol(s). I'll probably end up with a top rail on those hand guards, for sights. Right now, the plan is for one 5.56 NATO pistol and one 300 Blackout (7.62 x 35) pistol.

Bumping this!
I finally finished my AR build. My group buy code red lower got messed up. We got refunds and I bought a spikes. Everything else is pretty much Windham weaponry. I changed out the hand guard to a magpul moe, utg rear buis. All I need is a good scope. I need to shoot it and I don't have time!

I say buy a bunch of guns.... then a TON of ammo.. then drink a **** load of beer, then a whole ASS load of whiskey... then load the ****ing guns, walk down the street brandishing the sons of bitches... and taunt the police.

That's what I say....

Not me... but go ahead and do that. I double dog dare you. It IS your right after all...

And I really REA-HE-HE-ALLY want to see the news coverage of that ****ing mess.

Hehehe...nice try, but if it ever came to that, that story won't hold water and or you won't hold up under the waterboarding.

Amazing how water plays into so many things...beer, boating, guns, memory... ;)

You were probably go to go until you acknowledged having them on an internet forum. Secrets are best kept...secrets.

Everything I have is already on the records so I can blather away freely. :)

Nope that isn't anyone's right. Taunting the Police is against the law by itself. And in most states possession of a firearm while drinking is illegal.

Why even post on this thread?

IMO, the MagPul handguards are ghey... I went to an aluminum quad rail on my DPMS carbine. I've also gone to a better stock, Hogue grip and AVG2 on the underside of the handguard. I have the rubber pads to go around the handguard when I want them. Picked up a NCStar 3-9x scope to put on the flat-top too. For BUIS, testing has proven that the MagPul ones are top of the heap. All others included in the drop testing lost zero. The MagPul BUIS did not. Considering how much some of the others cost (like from Troy) the MagPul items are a bargain.

I'm working on building a 300 AAC Blackout (7.62x35) pistol. Just need to anodize the lower (part of the Ares 80% bunch from the NES group butt-hurt) then get the barrel and muzzle device. We're set up to make the brass and load our own ammo there. Only difference between a standard .223/5.56 AR15 and one that shoots 300 Blackout IS the barrel and muzzle device. You use the same magazines and everything else. Planning on going with a 10.x" barrel on the pistol. Going to be interesting comparing it with the one my friend has (the one we've been reloading to feed). He went with the 8.1" barrel on it. Turns out you need about a 9" barrel in order to burn all the powder in the case.

All I need is a good scope.

What sort of scope are you looking for? I put a Nikon P-223 (fixed 3x32) on my M4-style carbine. Seems to work good...but by the same token it's not an ACOG. 'Course, the cost was a fraction of ACOG as well.

BTW sweed. if you want to test out the scope on my AR15, just let me know. Do bring some .223 ammo with you though.

I moved the scope as far back on the top rail as possible, to get better eye-relief with it. Going to sight it in (again) tomorrow with a friend.

I've also added a pad to the stock (from Rock River Arms) to help my shoulder. Changed out the stock 3oz buffer for a 5.2oz buffer to also help with shoulder impacts.

Don't even know, it's a whole new game for me. I'll figure out out.

Golddiggie, the magpul hand guard is just for now, simple. I really liked your quad rail with the rubber pads, I thought about getting something like that. But I was going with keeping the price down. I can add to it. I remember your scope, because I shot with it and liked it, haha. I hope to get out tomorrow to shoot at Pelham. Where are you guys shooting?

Btw, you find a job yet?
