So since I am a huge DIY and very new to brewing, I wanted to build myself a beer gun since I want to filter, keg and force carb. I would like to be able to bottle a few dozen bottles from the 5 gallon batch to give to family and friends. I know there are tons of threads regarding the "poor man's" beer gun using a picnic tap but since I already had most of the parts for a beer gun build, I am going to build one similar to the Blichman. It isn't over difficult and all the parts are available off the shelf. The only "official" parts I will be using from the Blichman gun is the rubber tip and the clip at the end of the gun so that I can replace it easily when needed.

I found this site: http://aussiehomebrewer.com/topic/63244-make-your-own-beer-gun/ which shows a step by step build and it looks good. Amazon has the "trigger" type gas valve for about $11 which makes it a true one hand operation: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0098W48HW/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20. The guy on the site with the build actually used the tubes from a stainless steel car antenna, I have some 304 stainless tubes that I will use but if I didn't already have the SS tubes, I would go with the $13 antenna as well. All other fittings can be found at your local hardware / plumbing store.

Has anyone else attempted making one on their own? I've done a search and others had built one but not like this.

I saw that thread as well, I meant has anyone ever built one like the one I referenced in that aussie home brewer site.
