All I have to say is that my LHBS has this recipe nailed! Best IPA I've ever brewed!

Here ya go. It's a DME kit but it rocks!

Freshly Pleased IPA

Ingredients:
7 lbs Light Dry Malt Extract 1 grain steeping bag
1 lb Crystal Malt 40L (Grain) 1 hop bag (use for flavor
.5 lb Wheat (Grain) hops)
1 oz Nugget (bittering)
1 oz Citra (flavor)
1 oz Mosaic (flavor)
1 oz Citra (aroma dry hop)
1 oz Mosaic (aroma dry hop)
5 oz priming sugar (if bottling)
1 pk brewers yeast

Do the usual procedures for a dme brew:

3 gallons of water to wort pot and steep grains to 155 deg F for 30 min.

Remove grain bag and squeeze, bring to boil and add extract.

Boil and add bittering hops

After 45 minutes add flavoring hops

Boil another 15 minutes

Add 2 1/2 gallons of cold water

You know the rest. Just dry hops after 5 days and condition for 7 days

I paraphrased a bit but this is a typical extract brew and I hope it works for you as well as it works for me.

Cheers!

This recipe is great!! Maybe better than the OG? I did brew in a bag so less grain and ME to bring up the gravity but nehoo, thanks for sharing!!

I can confirm that this recipe nails it. Color is spot on and flavor is so close that I fooled some folks in a blind taste test. No more $40 cases for me!

Cheers!
