So is this off the wall or what? (Posting here cause I been sipping the HB suds)
I just brewed a multi-grain beer but hopped it like an American IPA

9 LBs Briess 2 row Brews Malt ... 64%
1 LB Crisp Crystal 45L 7%
1 LB Weyermann Light Wheat 7%
1 LB Flaked Rice 7%
1 LB Flaked Corn 7%
1 LB Flaked Oats 7%

1 Oz Columbus (AA 16.10) @ 60
1 OZ Centennial (AA 11.5) @ 15
1 OZ Amarillo (AA 9.8) @ 5

Single Decoction ...
Mash in at 140 for 30
Decocotion is 6 QT. to get 151 for 60

Sparge at 160

SafAle US-05

Not sure what to expect ... any opinions?

You sure didn't hop it like my American IPAs.. ;) should be tasty, like a pale ale but maybe a little more grainy flavor and fuller mouthfeel.

bottlebomber.... you think like me .... I calculate this to be 62IBU a good American Pale Ale. To me an IPA starts at 70, but BJCP says an IPA is 40 to 70 IBU.... but I hope your right ... Tasty!!!
