Hi all,
I am wanting to produce a chocolate smores milk stout for a party in November( im from England and party is for guy Fawkes/ bonfire night) here in the USA.

I am thinking of using this base recipe

Amt Name Type # %/IBU
13 lbs 6.2 oz Pale Ale, Finest Maris Otter (Simpsons) (2.5 SRM) Grain 2 79.0 %
1 lbs 0.3 oz Caramel Malt - 40L (Briess) (40.0 SRM) Grain 3 6.0 %
1 lbs 0.3 oz Chocolate Malt (350.0 SRM) Grain 4 6.0 %
8.2 oz Black (Patent) Malt (500.0 SRM) Grain 5 3.0 %
1.06 oz Warrior [15.00 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 6 41.1 IBUs
1.06 oz Willamette [5.50 %] - Boil 45.0 min Hop 7 13.9 IBUs
1.00 Cup Cacao Nibs (Boil 15.0 mins) Flavor 8 -
1 lbs Milk Sugar (Lactose) [Boil for 15 min](0.0 SRM) Sugar 9 5.9 %
1.0 pkg London Ale Yeast (Wyeast Labs #1028) [124.21 ml] Yeast 10 -

I want a good smoke flavor, so was going to add around 12 oz of smoked malt.
For the smores part i need a marshmallow flavor, would roasting marshmallows and adding to the boil work.
Do you think 12 oz of smoked malt would be to much or not enough

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

We have done a s'mores brew. I would say add about marshmallows about 10 min prior to flawout.
