We grew our own hops before actually brewing. Couple kits under the belt and motivated to keep learning we would like to do an IPA extract recipe using only our hops, Cascade Mt Hood & Galena on hand (whole leaf).

Any recommendations on changes and why would be appreciated...
3.3 Amber LME
3.3 Light LME
1lb Light DME

1lb Crystal 20L (steeping)
American Ale yeast

1 oz Galena 60 min
1 oz Cascade 15 min
1 oz Cascade 5 min
1 oz Cascade flame out

Possibly a dry hop?

Thanks guys!:ban::ban:

Personally, I would take out the flame-out Cascade, and add it to some dry-hops with some Liberty. Maybe 2-1... e.g. Dry-hop 2oz Cascade, 1 oz Mt.Hood for 7 days.

Mt.Hood is a Halluertau type hope, but I think it adds a nice 'extra' to the grapefruit citrus you get form the Cascades.

Otherwise, just dry-hop with 2-4 oz of Cascade.... Cascades are such a great hop!
