After brewing on/off/on over the last 20yrs, I entered a competition. Is is not normal to receive some sort of score sheet? I know my beer was delivered on time.

If it's a BJCP competition, no. You should receive at least two score sheets (2 judges) per entry. Some competitions take longer than others to get the score sheets and ribbons out to the entrants. Usually you should receive score sheets within 2 - 3 weeks of the date of judging.

Love your user name by the way. My senior project as an undergraduate was conducting daily surveys, and tagging/releasing horseshoe crabs in Milford Point, CT.

I've stood among them on the beach in Delaware during the Horseshoe Crab orgy. The medical use of Limulus Polyphemus is what feeds the family.
