Hopped Sparge Water

Anyone ever hopped their sparge water? I've have a bunch of extra hops and am thinking about adding some to my sparge water for an upcoming DIPA. Would there be an ideal amount, or atleast a max amount? I'm considering tossing in a lb of leaf hops for a 10 gallon batch.....why not!:cross:

Are you already hopping the mash, then? If not, why not go that route instead?

That sounds almost like First Wort Hopping. I have done one brew that had that in the recipe.
