I’m planning on brewing an imperial breakfast stout and I’d like to get some maple syrup flavor in there.From what I’ve read here just adding maple syrup doesn’t give you a lot of flavor,so I’m wondering if i bring say a pound of the syrup to a simmer and let it reduce down by a third and add it at secondary will that get me to the taste I’m looking for.
