I'm getting a strange error browsing the site on my phone, *every* page I open has a popup display over the page asking me to download an HBT Android app.

I don't need an app to browse the site, I already have one called a web browser. Is there some way to do away with the pop-up? It makes the site practically unusable.

(sorry if this is the wrong section to post in)

In your browser settings switch to full site mode.

I surf a lot from my phone and have never gotten one....yet.

Browser settings where? Here on the site, or is that some app setting?

I use an iPhone and don't see such a setting. Would love to solve the same problem though.

I use the app on my iPhone. The glitch for me is when I am in the app and I click on a link to another thread on the forum, it opens in Safari, then asks me to download the app.

FWIW, I find the app superior to the website.

Interesting. I much prefer the website, if only for the Google search. Three-letter words and shorter are ignored by the native search engine on both the site and app.

Let's see: ale, dry, hop, keg, gal, oz, wit, OG, FG, SG, IBU, DME, LME, IPA, RIS, how many brewing words/terms/abbreviations are three letters or less? :p

on droids it all depends on the browser. The inbuilt one doesnt really have the option, but others like firefox, chrome, and dolphin have a browser type setting in the browser settings where you can set the identification string that by default identifies your browser as being mobile (hence why most sites will render at m.somepornsite.com). Having them identify as a desktop browser will make the actual full site show up.
