Nice glass man. Looks familiar, hey did you get the sticker I put in there too?

Yep, thanks!

Konig Pilsener (really been feeling Pilsners the last few days, blame the weather finally getting warmer) followed by Victory Donnybrook Stout with dinner. Brought home a bottle of Girardin Gueuze but decided to hang on to it rather than crack it open. So a bomber of my Hefeweizen.

Sweet, I had to one up you and I figured a sticker would do perfect ;).

I think you technically one upped me as soon as the Abrasive was added to the equation. ;)
You try the Abrasive?
Well, since you mentioned it.......

This stuff is so great! It should be distributed everywhere. I'd like to have this and Wookey Jack coming out of the faucets in my house instead of water. :D

I still have a few calls to make for your 21st amendment too.
Thanks for hunting it down for me!
Happy one day early anniversary too buddy.

Thanks!!

Damn you Wes! You keep up the beer porn tonight. From the Founders, to my last SixPoint, and now Surly Abrasive?? I would rather have the Abrasive over a Pliny any day. Just sayin....:ban:

I completely agree. Pliny was okay, but nothing stood out about it. It's more of a "hype" beer. And before anyone asks, I had a fresh bottle.
Abrasive is just a fantastic beer that doesn't need any hype surrounding it.

I loved the Hopadillo and Rodeo Clown, I didn't one up ya with an Abrasive. I still gotta try Wookey Jack but I think I am going to find a way to have a fountain of beer in my mansion (oh yeah I will be getting a mansion in my imaginary future). Glad you like it though. They started it off as seasonal but I am almost 100% sure it's now being made all the time. Which is damn awesome for us Minnesotans. I gotta say Surly is almost too expensive and overrated, for instance I think Size 7 from Steel Toe is a much better Ipa than Furious. But when they come out with awesome beers like Abrasive and Coffee Bender, I have a hard time not liking them.

Also Wes, very nice pic. I like how the colors blend well with your nice counter.

Edit: I told someone on here they had nice counters and I am pretty sure they thought I was being sarcastic. I tried to explain that we love counters with our beer porn round here.

I fully agree. The other one is the SixPoint Resin and also Revolutions Anti-Hero IPA. Both I feel are much better IPA/DIPA. I do love me some Pliny, but I feel like the others fit my taste buds a lot better.

Ha, I saw that exchange about the countertops.
I guess some people have a hard time reading what the poster was actually saying and instead read everything literally. I guess that's the drawbacks of conversing with text instead of face to face.

You have to try Wookey. It's such a great beer. It was the first beer that just left me speechless when I had it, the second being Heady Topper.

Those are two good beers. It's a shame I only have one Anti-Hero left.

How did i forget Heady!! Its worlds better than Pliny. Must be from Conan. Gotta be. Its one of my favorite beers I have had (as far as hop monsters go).

And Wookey is just a damn great, actually amazing beer. I have 3 bombers of it in the fridge waiting for enjoyment. Kinda nice when its 2 for $10 at a local shop. Double Jack is awesome too. Too many good beers with too much time spent working haha. :rockin:

My Simcoe/Amarillo IPA. I might need some unbiased opinons, but I think this beer is amazing. The portion of munich malt used gives a great malty aroma/flavor and the hops really take center stage and pair so well together.

Oh Heady Topper was so so so awesome. I think I see Wookey in my somewhat near future. (I think malachi is thinking about sending me one in a trade) About the counters... for sure hard for people to know what you actually mean through text even if you're saying exactly what you mean. I think that's why there are so many silly arguments on here. At least this site doesn't have as much as others. I've browsed the internet a little bit and almost every other site has the most ridiculous arguments on it for no reason at all.

Trying to see if I can finish all of this before my uncle comes back with more. Left me with a month's worth of drunkenness, or two weeks of being hammered. Still haven't decided which way I'll go yet.

2 for 10 is an awesome deal for what I hear is a great beer. Really excited to get my hands on it. I think we might have a trade in our future... Malachi and I might have a trade coming soon, and Wes and I possibly have one too if I find what he desires. But you sir need Abrasive and I wookey/ double jack.

What the **** do you mean by that?! ;)

Still drinking on this Abrasive and wondering if I should brew one of my next batches with all Citra late additions.

You should, just to see what it's like. IMO it becomes a little overwhelming, like burying your face in a skunky mango vagina. Not that that's totally a bad thing. Just intense ;) btw I'm talking 12 ounces intense, not just 3 or 4

I love me some skunky mango vagina smells. Way better than stinky tuna and other fishy smells :).

Hey screw you man! I don't give a flying F*** about you and what you have to say and think you a** hole dick face! :)

I would be happy to if I didn't have so many medical bills coming! I love getting brutally honest feedback from people who really appreciate beer. I think we need to arrange a HBT get together somewhere like Vegas where everyone brings some brew and we all get hammered

Quite a description.
I went with obscene amounts of Simcoe, Mosaic, Amarillo and Citra in my last DIPA. It was like a cross between a grapefruit and a mango. I love a big, in your face hop presence in an IPA, especially tropical and citrusy.

That's like every night for me. Well, except for the Vegas thing. And the getting hammered part.
Actually, that's nothing like every night for me!
My life sucks!!
;)

Welcome to the club! That's why I brew and drink as much as I do...

That is a really great idea. I think with some proper planning it could happen. I also like that type of feedback. I hate my friends who I know don't share my passion as much as I do who just go, "oh that's good!" Me- "what do you like about it?" Them- "well it's just good, smooth and tasty." That type of stuff doesn't help me at all. If it tastes like crap, I need to know and if it does I need to know what parts of it tastes like crap. I think I a lot of people are afraid of hurting feelings. I think in the homebrewing world feelings are not existent. At least they shouldn't be, honest is always better. Where are you located? If its worth my while I would be happy to some how pay for shipping for you and review some of your brew for you.

Ive yet to have a bad one. Having a couple SN Ruthless Ryes, oddly it made me think of adding rye to my vanilla porter recipe...

Never had a ruthless rye... Rye in the vanilla porter recipe sounds interesting though! I'm on vacation in San Diego but can't wait to try the oatmeal stout I bottled before I left!

On my third Founders Imperial Stout. Hate how I can't tell there is 10.5% in here. Or do I love it...... ;)

Unfortunately they were infected, so we had your wife ship them to us for proper disposal. You owe us big.

I know what you mean.
My HopSMAC DIPA I have on tap right now is 10.2% ABV and its way too easy to drink.

I guess I do! But since she's here with me... Some random woman sent you 5 gallons of what she said was infected beer... I hope you tasted it first! I wouldn't trust her...
