I recently brewed a small one gallon batch and the kit came with dry Danstar yeast packet. the directions said use half of the yeast packet but for some reason i used the whole package. The brew is quite hot now and overflowing through the airlock.
Is this the end of the brew>? or should I press on and let fermentation go on and see what happens?

Thanks and Prost!

Nope, let it run. The overflow is common even with the exact amount. It is dependent on the volume, yeast strain, and headspace. Put a hose on it, let blow till it settles down, and give it a taste. You will likely get a lot of yeasty taste until it flocculates out, but you may also find a new love.
