Hello, would like some suggestions on Kettle size as I need to upgrade from 5 gallon as I am trying to do more all grain brews. I have been winging it with the 5 gallon. Thinking about getting a 10 gallon with false bottom so I can mash in it as well. I don’t plan on making more than a 5 gallon batch so my thinking is this is what I need. You fellas at the next level please tell me what I’m missing if so. Thanks

I have an 11 gal that has been perfectly fine for 5 gal all grain batches (mash in cooler). Bayou Classic, converted to electric.

If you're thinking of doing full volume BIAB batches, a 15 gallon kettle is almost a necessity. If you sparge the bag, a 10 gallon will suffice.

How are you heating the kettle?
