Thinking about trying to make ginger beer with what I have on hand. Can I sub ground ginger for fresh? Or is that just a bad idea?

gonna say thats a bad idea bro. the flavors of fresh and dried are no where near the same. I think youd be disappointed in the taste and it would lack that fresh ginger burn.

all that being said, I've never made ginger beer so I may not know what I'm talking about. But I do cook a lot.
 
Yeah, that's my thought...May try it and toss it. The lack of any recipes is a pretty fair indicator...
