Anybody have some tips??

I got my BG14 and brewed my first batch with it. An all grain that started with about 8+ gallons of wort boiled down to 6+...Trouble was my tank had 1/4" of ice on it near the end and was barely putting out enough to get a good boil rolling. I thought it seemed too high and cut the stand down a bit and made it a little wider too. Seemed to use up about 8 gallons of propane too.

Here it is stock.....

I was going to try that with a hose running into it...it wasn't even cold out, like 65-70 deg. I'm going to get a bigger tank too but it seemed like it used a ton of propane. I've brewed 3 batches on a 32 qt pot and square type burner and still have nearly half a tank?

Here is the modded version...hope it's not too close but with the curve of the keg it's still 3-4 inches from the burner itself.
