Hi everybody,
P being the percentage of soluble extract mass vs total wort mass
I read that there is a relationship between SG an P
SG=((P /(258.6 -(P/258.2) * 227.1)) * 1000) or, expressed less accurately SG=259 /(259 -P)
As the definition of specific gravity is density of wort / density of water at 4°C (I do not know it 4°C is the reference temperature or if it is an other one such 15°C but there is one)
As density of wort changes with temperature but not the mass percentage of soluble extract, I must admit that the relationship given above between SG and P is only true at a definite temperature.
My question: is what is this temperature?
