I won't call it a smell, as it doesn't stink...it's just the smell of the last batch fermented in my bucket...

Anyway, after washing (after bottling) the "aroma" is still there...I know (I think) the bucket is clean...but is it? I'll sanitize it before I use it again...but there smell is there...

Anything to be concerned about?

Greg

No. As long as it (& any spigots attached to it) are clean, sanitizing I should cut the smell down when getting ready to fill it. Starsan does it for mine.

Its fine, the smell will always linger a bit even if you clean and sanitize properly. I think the plastic absorbs a bit of the smell, and there isn't much you can do about it.

The thing to be careful about with plastic is that it can easily be scraped or cut, creating little crevasses that can be overlooked while cleaning.
