I'm looking to get involved and become a certified Judge. I headed over to the BJCP website and it was very informative on the tests, styles, and things of that nature, but how do I get started, besides taking the test? Are there things I need to accomplish before sitting for an exam? How do I find any local (Philadelphia suburbs) events that need Judges-to-be?

Thanks for any help!

This seems to be the wrong forum, but I'm in a BJCP class now, and we're tasting a classic style from all the sub categories. I'd advise doing that, as well as downloading BJCP for dummies. There is a list on the AHA/BJCP website of official competitions. Steward one first, then judge. You don't necessarily need to be BJCP certified to judge one, and you'll get tutored by more exerienced judges. That should be good to get a recognized score :)
